Continuation of Act 3

Nora: (she walks out into the cold lifting her clothes into place. Mrs. line was outside)
Mrs. Linde: Nora what are you doing out here in this cold, where's Torvald?
Nora: I'm not going to be living here anymore Kristina.
Mrs. Linde: Why, what happened, did you tell him.
Nora: Yes
Mrs.Linde: And what did he say, oh Nora tell me!
Nora: He wasn't who I thought he was, hoped he was, instead I spoke to a stranger, but I am so very tired. May I stay at your home for the night Kristina? I will tell you everything in the morning.
Mrs. Linde: (She grabbed Nora's hand softly and looked at her with sympathetic eyes). Yes, of course Nora you're always welcome, especially now.
(They get into a smooth jet black Chrysler Imperial which had a familiar smell that Nora picked up on).
Nora: Um, Kristina, whose car is this if you don't mind my asking?
Mrs. Linde: oh I had been meaning to tell you....me and Krogstad have decided to try our relationship once more.
Nora: you and Krogstad! I would never have guessed it.
Mrs. Linde: oh yes, don't you remember what I had told you, there truly was a time when he would've done anything for me. We had a spark back then but family came first before passion so it had to end.
Nora: oh, to think of Krogstad in that light makes him seem like a different man.
Mrs. Linde: mhnm, I suppose so, he seemed quite willing to support me and start a new life together.
Nora: (she pondered about what Kristina had said and about Torvald). If only Torvald  had that much willingness, to give up his own pride for love.
Mrs. Linde: (Nora had trailed off after that but Kristina had understood what she meant) I understand Nora.
Nora: (puzzled) But ho..how could you understand.
Mrs. Linde: remember the man I had married with the large amount of money that I needed for my mother. It is true he left me with nothing but in reality he hadn't planned to in the first place. In the short moments that I was around you both, you and Torvald I mean, there were times his demeanor seemed less of a husband and more of a father figure in an odd way. And that's what my husband sortive did from time to time. I was less of a person and more of his personal play thing to him. And after his death in a dark way, that was my escape because I might not have left him otherwise.
Nora: (that sounded all to familiar to her and some of Torvald's words echoed within her head) That's the very reason why I am here with you...
Mrs. Linde: to start fresh correct. To brake free from so many years of a fantasy right?
Nora: ye..yes.

  1. I enjoyed reading your continuation of the ending. I liked that you compared Mrs. Linde's marriage to that of Nora's. I also liked how you made smooth transitions from Mrs. Linde telling Nora about her and Krogstad to the comparison of the marriages. I wonder if you expanded on the idea, where it go. What would become of Nora. Otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed reading your continuation of the ending.

  2. I like how you made Mrs. Linde's past marriage similar to Nora and torvald's marriage. That was really cool.
